Information Marketing Is the Perfect Business

Information Marketing Is the Perfect Business

Have you ever wanted to quit your job in order to start a business? I’m sure you have, it’s everyone’s dream. But not everyone believes it’s possible. Most people think starting a business is too hard, too stressful, or too risky. Luckily, I’m not one of those people. I’m a person who’s quit his job, who’s started his own business, and who will eventually become a millionaire (not quite there yet).

How “Make Money Online” Products Are Advertised

Even though I’m not a millionaire, I do work from home, I do work my own hours, and I do make a steady income. How do I do it? I’m involved in information marketing. I sell information products online. While it’s not as easy as most online marketing gurus claim (see image above), it is easier than starting a traditional business – especially if you offer valuable information that others are willing to pay for.

Information Marketing Is the Perfect Business to Help You Quit Your Job!

I’m going to give you 10 reasons why information marketing is the perfect business if you want to quit your job, start a business, and become a millionaire. Let me know which one you personally think is the best by leaving a comment after reading this article.

1. Low Barrier to Entry

a. No Need For Higher Education – Unlike most jobs, you don’t need to have a college education to enter into the field of information marketing. A degree is NOT required and no one will check your educational credentials. Instead people will analyze what you are saying, doing, and teaching.

b. Low Start-Up Costs – Most businesses require you to have a lot of startup capital. You need to invest thousands (sometimes hundreds of thousands) of dollars before you even open your doors. Even after you’ve invested all that money, you’re not guaranteed success. On the other hand, you can be an information marketer for under $50 a month. All you need is a computer, an internet connection, and a hosting account. Even if you don’t succeed (which is unlikely if you keep at it and you do have to keep at it for a while), your losses will be minimal.

c. Everything Can Be Outsourced – There are people who are willing to take of almost every detail of your information marketing business for you. They’re able to build your website, research your topic, and even make your product. Some companies even offer you step by step guides to get you going in the right direction. After you’ve started, the same companies will offer you supplemental services to help you grow your information marketing business. There’s just one catch – you need to pay for their services.

2. Location Independent

Most businesses require you to be in one physical location for long periods of time. An information marketing business never ties you down to one location. You can travel to any country in the world. As long as that country has electricity and an internet connection, you can run your online information business. If you want to travel around the world and see new places, information marketing offers you the freedom to make it happen!

3. Continuous Cash Flow

Information marketing allows you to create a product that will continuously generate cash flow after you’ve released it into the market place. While the amount of money that’s generated from that product may decline over time, there aren’t too many other businesses that will continuously pay you year after year for a product you only created once.

Since an information product does not cost you anything to duplicate, it can be sold endlessly without incurring ongoing costs. This ability to duplicate the product, for next to nothing, allows you to sell limitless copies of the product. This cost efficiency gives you an ongoing cash flow that continues for several years after your product is produced.

4. Flexible Schedule

Tired of working 9-5 Mon-Fri? If you become an information marketer, you’ll be able to chose your own hours. I like to work from 8am – 2 pm. I find that those are my most productive hours. After that I’m done for the day. If I do decide to work after 2 pm, I have that option. If I want to work overtime one week and take the next one off, I have that freedom! I love it!!! I’ve never had this freedom while working at any of my other jobs and chances are I would not have this freedom working on any other business.

5. Low Overhead

Most traditional businesses require you to have a physical location – which costs you lots of money. At the very least, you need to pay rent and utilities. You will also need furniture, supplies, and employees. An information marketing business can be run out of your home by a single person – YOU!  If you don’t want to do it, you can outsource it to someone who is also working from home. There is no need for a big office!

Traditional businesses also need physical space to store products. If you open a traditional business, you will need to rent warehouses or establish a distribution center for your products. With information marketing, you can store eBooks, mp3s, and files on your own hard drive or you can use a server. Both options virtually eliminate storage fees.

6. Easy To Automate

If you become the owner or operator of a normal business, you will have to be there to take care of that business. You can’t just take a month or two off whenever you feel like it. That business depends on you. Without your presence, the business will fail.

If you become an information marketer, you will be able to automate most of your business so that it runs even when you are not around. A couple of my internet marketing friends travel around the world for 6 months out of the year – checking their email only once a week.

Once you’ve developed a product, set up a website, worked on your marketing campaign, and added a shopping cart – your business will run pretty smoothly even if you are not regularly checking up on it. While you can’t automate everything (your customers will e-mail you with questions or they will ask you for support), you’ll still be able to automate the majority of your business so that you’re not constantly shackled by it.

7. More Profit/Less Costs

Since information products are mostly electronic, they are cheaper to produce and deliver than tangible products. Because your costs of production and delivery are really low, you have a better chance of making a profit through information marketing than a traditional business. In other words, information marketing can lead to a huge profit margin that exponentially exceeds any gains produced by a traditional business.

8. Free Exponential Growth

Unlike a traditional business, an information marketing business does not have to expand to new areas or locations – incurring new costs along the way. As an information marketer, you can develop your products and then give others the chance to sell your products for you for a percentage of the profit. The people that sign up become your affiliates and help expand your business for you. Since there are no added costs for having others sell your products, you can exponentially increase your revenue without doing any extra work or spending any extra money.

9. Client Efficiency

Information marketing has a variety of tools that will offer support to your clients. You can set up online FAQs, forums, and automated messages to answer the majority of your client’s questions. There are also a variety of services that can help you keep in touch with your clients through email. The online tools that are available also make purchasing and returning products a breeze. I can’t think of another business that offers you this kind of client efficiency.

10. Family Friendly

An information marketing business is one of the most family friendly businesses around. Just imagine working from home and being close to your kids. You can watch them from your desk and be there when they say their first words or take their first steps. If you become an information marketer you will be able to be there for all the important moments in your children’s lives. Plus, being around your kids for long periods of time will give you the ability to build stronger bonds with them while they are still young – something that is more challenging for parents with regular full time jobs or businesses.

While I think information marketing is the perfect business and I’ve gone into great detail as to the reasons why, I do want to warn you that it is still a business.
